Volunteers

A special kind of caring through volunteering generates positive feelings in both the volunteers and the children they spend time with. Caring of this nature is something that cannot be purchased, because its essence is embedded in its being given freely.

It is the policy of Casa Angelica to incorporate the special gifts of our volunteers into the daily programs of the residents. This practice enriches the services offered in response to the needs of the children and young adults. Volunteers who possess the desire to assist Casa Angelica in our mission to help those "most in need" are a valued addition to our program and a blessing to the children.

The main focus of Casa Angelica's Volunteer Program is the hope that through time shared volunteers and children will get to know and enjoy one another. Special relationships are formed, and both volunteer and child are enriched, and can grow from the experience of friendship.

Our children and volunteers benefits from sharing themselves with one another in the following ways:

  • One on One Interaction with children (reading, joining in games, and joining in arts and crafts)
  • Special Field Trips
  • Special events
